i recently purchased a large framed collection of dead insects.. it about the coolest thing ive ever purchased so im fairly impressed with ebay at the moment

Yeah, don't use it much, just if I'm after something in particular and cant be arsed going to the shops. Also good for selling unwanted gifts or ex girlfriends possessions.

there's no reason to be afraid of ebay, just don't be dumb.  make sure people you buy from have good feedback, and if you're selling, make sure you get delivery confirmation on whatever you send.  i had a friend that got fucked over because he sold a laptop on ebay but didn't have delivery confirmation, so the asshole on the other end took the laptop and said it never got there, so he got his money back from paypal...

I don't really buy too much from there, I might buy a bit more now that I'm actually 18 and I can create an account and stuff. Last thing I bought was a cool 2004-05 Russian Superleagues Dynamo Alexander Ovechkin jersey. It's super high quality and stuff, like the actual jerseys they use in game, all for a little under $70, and that's including shipping. I was looking around for the similar thing and saw one on the official NHL auctions, it was just home instead of away, and it went for $220. I love eBay.

Tell me you at least have the Samoan Raro stuff?  I remember when I was in Western Samoa this was all I drank for like 7 months.
