So Microsoft used saw a few good ideas and used them... who gives a rats ass. Are basic ideas not illegal to use? If that was the case only one FPS would be around because if someone else were to do it, they would be stealing the idea of a virtual shooter game! ZOMG!
And what about previous versions of windows and mac? They both use a GUI with a mouse pointer. I say thats stealing right there, don't you? Someone had to come up with that first...

Well, I'm definitely switching to a Mac now! All I really care about in an OS is who had 3D Chess first...
I agree with Tiger... who really cares? We DON'T CARE enough to make it a major disappointment in our lives. All we want is something that runs games, and does a few other things too. I really don't care if Mac is better than Windows.

Well an interesting fact but windows XP was a faster operating system that OS X, Maxium PC did a speed test a few months comparing comparing the speed and CPU usage of photoshop, noise ninja and DOOM3 on an Apple computer, first with OS X then they put XP on it and XP showed up as being faster.

This whole vista thing is starting to really bore me, all the new inovations that vista is meant to bring are hardly life changing . Searching files isnt a new concept although admittably it looks like theyve sped the process up and the '3D' desktop is just alt+tab running in realtime.
I agree with Tiger in terms of copying , someone had to invent the wheel and i fairly sure they didnt patent it.

I think it was easier for Mac to implement some of those types of features early on since they pretty much know the hardware its going to run. MS on the other hand has to deal with such a broad spectrum of hardware and probably had to wait until better video came more widely available. Either way, most features in question are shallow at best and appeal to most far end users --- IMO
