<10 seconds to log in. Maps take about 30-60 seconds, they'd be quicker if i didnt have so many other little things taking up memory, but who cba closing them all the time.

If you want to login faster, do this:
Go to my documents -> Battlefield 2 -> Profiles -> find the number of the profile that you use to play and open 'General.con'
Scroll down until you find stuff like this and delete it.

On my first account log in takes 40 seconds and up to a minute, my second account logs in, at 10 seconds.

Usually about 1 minute 2 log on, except when it has socket trouble or watever, but when my two bros and I log in at the same time it takes up 2 6 minutes. Servers i have no problem with.

It TAKES ME 3.45 MINUTES ! ( !!! ) to login as peyrac ( my first account ) and 5 SECONDS to login as 2., 3.,4., account...

I don't know, but It doesn't really take along time, while its loading my little sister play with the mouse, cuz she likes the little red 2 ( YUP she's only 3) XD

I had to reinstall windows, the bright side is it takes about 10-20 seconds to login and roughly a minute to join.

I have an e6400, 7600GS and 1 GB of RAM, and it takes me about half a minute to log in, and another half-minute to finish loading and click "join".

no, your just deleting the servers you've recently visited, as BF2 ping them all or something when you login so its takes ages, delete it and it should login almost right away..

It takes about 10 mins from start up to game play! But I am playing over a wireless network and my puter is poor!
it takes me exactly 17 seconds from clicking my bf2 shortcut until the main screen appears with all the boxes to choose what you want to do (multiplay, options etc).
Maps are variable, jollybad loads in about 35 secs, quicker than say, dragon valley but even the biggest is loaded within 60 seconds.
The former is because I have used all the tricks possible to cut down loading time and anyone can do that but the map loading is purely down to the hardware in the pc.

sometimes i get phantom load in times, i always am 1st of 2nd into a map but takes forever once i log into client server
