Alo

ive ordered a Mobo with a heat pipe equiped on it, now reading the specs it says Fanless design

does that mean i do not need a heatsink for my CPU or does it mean its fanless for the mobo.

i.e not needing a fan to keep the mobo cool

i only ask as i have purchased a Freezer 7 Pro heatsink aswell

if i dont need the heatsink i can cancell that heatsink

and save me £20!

Umm, the heatpipes are for the NORTHBRIDGE, not the CPU. The  heatpipes are made to keep that chip cool, as opposed to using a heatsink + CPU on the northbridge. You still need the norm for the CPU!

No, you will still need a HSF for the CPU. The heatpipes are for cooling the motherboard chipsets.

Fanless Mobo is just that there are no fans on the main Chips (Northbridge, mainly) But, you still need a CPU HSF and Extractor Fans for the case, cause heatsinks don't work very well, unless there's fans to take the heat off them.

Yeah, the Freezer 7 Pro is a pretty kickass HSF.

Just make sure you have enough airflow in your case to keep everything cool!
