..high priority, that is

If I set BF2 to run in high priority mode, my mouse and keyboard take ages to respond in game. Keystrokes and mouse clicks are delayed by several seconds (ranging from 1 to more than 10), but mouse movement is fine

any ideas?

He means the PROCESS itself high priority, higher the priority the more dedicated the OS is to keeping that application running efficiently.

Since system process' are high priority I'd recommend keeping it on medium/low, you may be interfering with very important system process'.

the high priority tweak has been around for ages, lots of people use it and benefit from it, it's fine.
