That is fucking insane. You can't just make a card to go as fast as possible without thinking of consumer requirements, but that's what ATI is doing. I would have to get a new case to get one and probably a new power supply. (550w right now)

Sarge the benchmarks were mediocre for Crysis but that's because Crysis is freakin insane, not because the 8800 sucks. The 8800 series cards are the only ones that can even run that game right now, and as some have said those benchmarks didn't have great drivers I'm sure.

thats what i will most likely get or the 8900 or 8800GTX or less likely the R600. NVM most likely i will the the 8800GTX b/c it has way more shaders then every thing els or the 8800GTs with 640 mb..in my mind there is no point getting any thing less then the 8600GT the 8300's look like an x1900 is more powerful then them
