Ok, this may not be tech related, but it sure seems like it to me.

Anyways, I recently had been using limewire. That is, until I found some hidden folders full of junk. So, I deleted all the junk (like 8 gigs worth) and uninstalled limewire. I found no evidence of viruses, except for one file, named "onoes.exe" (no, unfortunately, this is not a joke...it runs every time i start up windows vista) which doesnt seem to do much, but its wreaking havoc with my computer, somehow downloading thousands of .zip folders and .exe files to my computer in hidden files...

So, I need help with several things.

1. Please, help me find a good anti-virus program that works with vista x64 (and preferably free)

2. Any advice on how to keep this whatever-it-is from downloading crap to my computer.

Also, any idea on how to scan for other hidden folders like this would be nice...

Ad-Aware is fantastic. Also check spy bot search and destroy.  If all else fails reformat

I ran the exe under a different name...believe me, even I am not stupid enough to run something called "onoes.exe"

It was going to be a keygen for adobe photoshop...I've done this before, and somehow I accidently downloaded the wrong file, and got this stupid renamed exe file...

Ok, thanks guys, problems fixed, like I thought, onoes.exe turned out to be a virus, or a worm to be more exact. It was being activated to look like outlook, but luckily vista caught it before it activated.

+1 to all those that helped. also thanks to the guy who sent me the karma to search for ccleaner on google. that really freed up some space.
