Hey there everybody, booting up about 10 minutes ago, i got to the windows XP loading screen, my computer made a sound and the screen went all fuzzy and shit, like my GFX card had crapped out on me. Anyway, in shock i quickly turned my pc off, booted up again, all is fine, until i go to log in and i get "Cannot find profile, maybe a currupt file." So then it gives me a temporary one everytime i boot up. Any ideas? much appreciated.
it *might be* that your hard drive is going, and deleted your profile first.

Definitely sounds like your hard drive is corrupted. The only way I can think to check it is put a hard drive from another computer into this one and see if it boots, if you have one.
Lolz! I fixed it! I just created a new account . Basic PC skills and knowledge ftw.
The files for the account you can no longer access are probably corrupted though, though luckily not any system files.
