Hello

i seem to have a weird problem with this.
im a pritty good shooter with the tv guided missle, i barely miss well, i miss because the missle goes right though the enemy.
mostly this happens with i think fast moving objects.
like helicopters and aircraft.
it doesnt happen all the time, but it happens loads of times.
i was hoping someone could tell me how this is happening?
i was thinking my self it could be something to do with lag of the otherplayer or like a fps problem.

its not my own hardware neither internet connection.

i run on a amd 3500+ S939( i know not the best ) but i have 2gb's of memory and a x1950XTX graphics card.
+ a 12mbit internet connection. i live in europe so i only play on european servers.

Probably a hitbox error. Remember in (I think) 1.2 when you would shoot rockets right through tanks with SRAW's and Eryx's?

ya it's a hitbox error, if your in the chopper try to get an angle so that you can shoot the tail or underside of the chopper since those work almost 90% of the time. stay away from firing shots directly at the pilot. its nothing wrong with your computer and we all experience it, hope these tips help.

Click fast, and avoid overcorrecting. Trust your clicks.

A better ping helps too.

EDIT: Ok, not totally wrong. But his advice is dumb.

You'll get the feel for which shot will go through the chopper after a fair few glitchy misses, like firing at the cockpit when the choppers moving isn't a good idea, etc, etc. The best place to go for with choppers I would say is the tail / back half of the chopper, this is just out of experience, I don't really know if it's teh best place.

Alot of the time, especially on tougher shots, once you've got the hitboxes figured, you will find yourself firing at an open space near the chopper and getting the kills.

man this is shit, no matter how i shoot it there will always be a hitbox, i tried possible values like 30, and 400. but it seems like its not working.
i just played i missed 2 shots in a row with the hitbox, and the guy in the other heli was able to take me out.
thats some fine ass horse shit because he should have died like 2 shots ago.

try tv's on single player if you can hit on that then your BF2 is screwed. Try a reinstall. If its fine then your net is probably whats screwing you over. Or try finding servers closer to home
