So for a few weeks now my comp has been silly, somethings have sounds, some don't.

For example; xfire doesnt, msn does

Internet browsers dont (annoying wen wathcing vids), WMP does

Games do (phew!) and i dont think theres a log on/off sound either for windows

Anyone got any suggestions at all?

I noticed this was blank

Click apply, now every time I open op this window again it resets to blank, I thought this might have something to do with it.

do you use onboars sound or a sound card?

try reinstalling drivers?

Are you the only one who uses that comp? Check your sound settings. If they're okay, maybe you're sound card is crapping out. Try looking for newer drivers.

Well I remember I had the exact same problem for a while and it was because I retardedly plugged the speakers in wrong. Make sure they are right
