Hey guys, has anyone gotten the air transport transfer medal or even the troop transporter pin since the latest patch (after ea fixed the bug). I sat flying a transport hovering over the enemy titan for about 10 minutes with probably 50 or so people spawning in me and podding down. Yet, no award, not even a point for a transfer.

Is it that I'm hovering to low?? I went up to about 300 and couldn't even see the titan, yet nothing. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

i think i read some were that people have to get in the transport 500m away from enemy titan to count as an air drop when you drop them off...im not really sure though ill look around

You will only get driver assists(drop points) for the people that spawned in your air transport at a minimum distance of about ~500 meters away from the enemy titan. So drop the people off that spawned in your transport when you were ~500 meters away from the enemy titan, then either die and respawn at your titan or fly about ~500 meters away from the enemy titan and have people spawn in your transport again,  fly back over to the enemy titan and you will get drop points again for the people that spawned in your transport about 500 meters away from the enemy titan again.

Here are steps for the people who didnt comprehend the above statement. This is how I did it exactly.
1) Pick people up from your titan(IMPORTANT make sure you are around at least 500 meters away from the enemy titan when doing this)
2) Fly over to enemy titan and drop the passengers that spawned in the transport at least 500 meters away off
3) Purposely crash or die so you can respawn at your titan.
4) Repawn at your titan, get in the driver seat of transport that just spawned at your titan againmake sure you are still at least 500 meters away from the enemy titan when people spawn on you and have people get in the transport.
5) Repeat steps 1-4 until you have your pin.

Thanks for the input Masterstyle, i'll give that a try.

FYI,  I'm going for the 'air transport transfer medal' and the 'aerial service ribbon' not the pin so it's worth my time and effort.

Masterstyle...I love you!!!!!  Lol!  The Titan Drop Pin was the only one I didn't have.  I'm a little obsessive, so not haveing a complete set has aggravated me for quite some time.  I've read countless threads on how to get the pin but none have worked.  I read several posts which suggested that the pin was either disabled or would not be fixed until v 1.2.  Well, when 1.2 came out, that was the first thing I tried.  Still no pin!  Then, I saw your post and, with the help of a buddy, got the pin on the second round (I didn't have enough time the first round).  Here are a few things I noticed which may help those who are still trying:

1.  The 500 meter distance requirement seems to be dead-on.  The commander had our Titan moving towads theirs.  I got the "Driver ability assist points" up until the enemy Titan was closer than 500 meters from our Titan Hangar.  Then, I just had my buddy pod onto our back deck and picked him up there until even that got too close.  At this point, I just started flying to the edge of the map and then having him spawn inside the aircraft.  ANYTHING LESS THAN 500 METERS WILL NOT WORK!

2.  You can't be too high above the Titan.  I didn't get the points when I was too high.  I got the points every time I was approximately 50-75 meters above the enemy Titan.

3.  You can't be too far away from the Titan.  Several times, I got shot down by the Titan AA guns.  My buddy was able to pod out before I got hit and land on the enemy Titan safely from a distance, but I didn't get the points.  I always got the points when they podded out directly over the enemy Titan.

4.  The first time I tried to get the points using these instructions, I went to a fairly empty server.  This didn't work, because the teams weren't balanced and the game ended too soon.  The next time, i went to a full 48 person server and had more than enough time to get the pin.

5.  The only problem with full servers is that there are most likely going to be enemy troops manning the Titan's AA guns and shooting you down when you get too close.  I found that I could start really high and far away.  Then, I would just make a run at the enemy Titan and use the dive to build up speed and come in from an unexpected angle.  Most of the time, I would get shot down after passing over the enemy Titan, but only after dropping my buddy and getting the points.  This actually worked pretty good, because I would respawn in my Titan hangar, pick up a new transport, and wait for my buddy to die and respawn on me.

6.  I'm reluctant to mention this because I don't stats pad and don't like those who do, but I really feel for those who, like me, have spent more than their fair share of time trying to get this pin.  My buddy figured out that you can get the points and the pins even if the person who pods onto the enemy Titan dies by landing on the shields before they are down.  Maybe EA will fix this in the future.

Once again, thanks to Masterstyle and good luck to everyone else!
