Hi,

onboard does work, everything is plugged in good, changed pci slot, done another reinstall of windows, uninstalled everything that had to do with sound, turned off onboard soundcard ect.

Nothing works, any sugjestions? (No noobish ones please, im already trying for a total of 8 hours now)

Things that changed since its not working: 2 extra harddisks in my pc. (no hardware conflics eighter).

I dont care what i have too do to make it work, if it takes another reinstall its fine, but then it has to work, i dont like wasting another +/- 2 hours reinstalling everything.

Is your onboard sound using the same IRQ as your Audigy.....try disabling your on board then reinstall your creative Drivers....

Whats not working?  Is it not detecting the sound card, are you getting the exclamation mark is in installing but then no sound plays etc?

The obvious thing to check is that you have the latest drivers from the creative site.

Also check that your Op Sys is using the correct sound card and not defaulting to onboard

Its all setup correctly as i said in my first post.  Please understand im not a noob with this, i checked EVERY setting at least 4 times, driver installs at least 20 times, onboard is off.

Maybe ill use an other disk with windows to test it.

@Frankyman, best sugjestion ever, i was going to yesterday, but i cant, we have a rabbit in the garden...

Read my first post i already said its not one of the normal sound problems.

Is there any chance that the harddisks cause some radiation that prevent it from working?

As killer said it could be your card...static kill ! do you have another PCI sound card you could test...

as for radiation...No...or electro interference would not stop it from working

It cant be, cause its not just 1 function not working. besides, it worked before i reinstalled, so it has to do something with that.

Im going to test it on an other HD now.

Yes it in all hardware lists, passes all those little tests but does not make sound.

On my last good install (4 installs back now) i did everything the same as that install, so the only thing could be harddisks i think. Ill try running with just 1 disk powered on to see if that works.

Windows > all

I reinstalled once more, doing driver and updated like this:

Chipset driver, restart, lan driver, restart (cause of dinner), DirectX9 Feb,  Restart, ATI 7.1 (display only), restart, copy'd cd to a fast harddisk somewhere between lan driver and restart, installed from harddisk, Restart, and now: tete, tete, tene, tenenene (meaning music )

So after all, the one that reinstalls most wins.

Side note: i formatted both raptors, and one partition that had windows on from the 250GB disk.
