For me it depends on the map...
If I'm USMC in Sharqi, it's best to be a sniper so you can lay your claymores at the TV station since nobody seems to want to defend it.
If I'm the Chinese on Dragon Valley or USMC on Karkand, it's gotta be engineer so you can put mines under your vehicles. Especially true in Dragon Valley, because the vehicles at the refinery were pretty much put there for the USMC to use to help cap it
If I have to be a fighting commander, then usually Spec-Ops so that it's harder to detect and artillery me.
Anyways, on and on...I'd say overall Engineer is the best so you can repair assets and mine vehicles etc.
