Well, in about a month they're coming out with the 8300 & 8600 series mainstream DX10 cards.

Slightly off topic, but how would an 8600GT compare performance wise to a 7900GT?
The 8600GT will be out later this year. The projected price is pretty good. I think it would be around 170. i got my 7600GT for 200.

Doesnt the High end R600 own the 8800GTX, and ati are releasing 4 cards at the one time, I suspect will force nvidia to not only release main stream cards like 8600's but higher end ones to keep there crown, which is great for us since a price war sounds great to me . 8800GTX for £250 anyone?B00MH3ADSH0T wrote:

I'd rather a cheaper gtx than a r600
I want a dam 8950GX3! OR GX2, whatever, I just need a new GPU to complete my build and am hanging around waiting on what is to be released, but me thinks a cheaper 8800GTX is what I will be getting.

There have been benchmarks from one site that no one's ever heard of claiming that the R600 performs way better than the 8800GTX, but it looks very suspicious, so I'm reserving judgement till I see some proper benchmarks on proper sites.
