Something that has frustrated me in recent times is the auto-swapping of teams that seems to happen to me a lot...

Its been a real struggle for me recently to actually end up on the wining team, something you may or may not care about, but I'd quite like to get that stat up a bit.

Today I was happily playing Karkand, and with our boys 66-5 up thinking this ones in the bag, bang, swapped teams - SWEET! - NOT!!!

Not only is this frustrating as I loose yet again, it also works against me if I was on the loosing team, as despite not liking my stats for winning games, I won't swap a team at the end to jump onto the winning team. If we loose, then fair enough, we were not good enough that round..... But having it happen automatically sometimes makes me out to be a bad looser when I'm genuinely not.

Is there a way to stop this? Or is it just game mechanics?

Thanks

Play on servers that don't auto-balance or join/create a squad.

Of course you could not die too... that would make you in-eligible for team swap!

getting switched at the end won't make the round count as a loss, I believe.  I read that the team you spent most time on is the one you get attributed to. Not sure though.
Join a squad, you don't have to work with them if you don't want to and you get an extra spawn point.

Edit: typo

Thanks guys, I do usually join squads, it’s only I (and my small brain) never made the correlation between the lack of squad joining and the swapping of teams. Now I know - Cheers

Oh and d4rkst4r, LEGEND for useful comments

Hmmm, where did you read that? I always assumed a win/loss is attributed to the team you were on when the match ended (which kinda makes sense...)

It does and no, it's not.

Most of the correct info you need about what counts as a win and a loss is in my post in this thread:
http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?pid=527951#p527951

Using this I created the account with the highest WLR in the world I think; anyone can do the same.

Roger roger.

What I love is the guys you see fleeing the losing team just before a round ends, I'm sure many of them think if they're not on the server at the end it doesn't count as a loss LOL
