I have everything on high with AA at 4x but can I go any higher then 4x in BF2. And dont you get more fps in SLI when you have everything maxed out instead of having it on low/medium? The hishest resolution I can use is 1280x1024@75Mhz so If I wanted to go higher I need a better monitor?
I don't think there is an option in the game to go higher than 4x. You can try forcing it in your Nvidia control panel.
The game goes to 6x...
No.. it goes to 4xCrazeD wrote:

You have to control your AA with the Nvidia control panel, I have no idea if it works.. but worth giving it a try.
Lol wtf is 6x aa i thought it only goes up by 4s.CrazeD wrote:

nope, I have mine on 8x AA via BF2 Options.CrazeD wrote:

It took a few reboots to show up after I enabled SLI for some reason though, thb there isn't much difference between 4x & 8x though.

Can you combine in game aa and nvidia control panel aa at the same time or is it one or the other?
nah it's one or the other, if you look in Nvidia desktop control panel thingy under image quality (i think thats the category) you can either set AA & AF manually or leave it at "Application Controlled" which is what I do.B00MH3ADSH0T wrote:

What about my other questions?
thankyou

Whats the highest resolution you can get on your desktop? I have a flat panel that will only go up to 1280x1024. I believe your problem stems from the limited abilities of your monitor.maverick749 wrote:

if you turn it off in bf2 you can play with the special sli AA settings of 8x and 16x in the nvidia control panel.
here's the REAL way to do it.
1.) right click whatever shortcut you use to play the game - properties
2.) type: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900
the above example fits a 1440 x 900 screen. simply replace your best resolution for the above numbers.
