Titan>Conquest. More kills in it

That pic made me laugh patton, but i have to disagree on the whole "titan mode sucks" theory, i think what the people defending the titan are right, but on the other hand the people that are attackting dont have to attack, they can just cap silos and win thet way. Therefor titan has its up's and downs.

Reason why you think it "works" is because occasionally you will run in to 3-4 lone wolfs newbies defending the titan and you will dominate them. And you will remember that round.
Titan is by design ridiculously small and simple. And thats the reason why its popular. Its a IO karnak only FF OFF grenade spamming whores paradise. And what were the most popular servers in BF2? IO 24/7 karnak FFoff.

Also when the both titans loose the shields there is almost never more than 10 people on the ground. So you cant exactly have intense ground combat. Those left on the ground mostly just go from silo to silo, capturing one and at the same time loosing the previous one.

And dont get me started on the dumbness off Titan pods. Talk about simplifying the game.

Partly correct, but let me tell you guys a story I experienced yesterday.

A buddy and me were playing titan mode. Our shields went down second and no one (surprisingly!) went to defend, so I decided to take it in our hands.
We two and some random guy in my squad positioned ourselves in Hallway 1, as an attacking Squad already destroyed console 2 and 4.
Random Guy and me were Support, my buddy was Assault. And I tell you it worked pretty well, plenty of ammo and patches around, sentry´s, shields, nadespamming, you know the stuff. It went on for like 15 minutes or so, with one of our defenders getting killed by an enemy granade hither and thither.
Then there was silence.
After a few minutes, the sentry´s started to fire again. The hallway fills itself with smoke, which we answer with grenades and random bulletspraying. Well, three guys, which wore the same clantags just stormed in, not only smoking but wearing active camo in addition. Try to see a camouflaged enemy through sick smoke. Impossible.
We were puzzled and they used the chance to overrun us and blew up the console.
They just sprinted past our nades, losing one guy on the run, but killing the three of us.

And yes, we were communicating. I´m not the most leet-playa on the battlefield, but I´m capable. So were the other two accompanying me.
I´m not saying it works everytime (console 3 was succesfully defended by us until our team destroyed the enemy titan), but in most cases there is a way to crack the defenders line, being creative risking something.
Most of the players just don´t use all the possibilities provided by the equipment.

Or, place one apm, with some RDX behind it. So when the APM blows, and more rush in, just detontate the RDX, Saving you a lot of explosives. Rinse and Repeat

Next time place 2 APMs on the ground and 3 RDXs packs on the ceeling above the APMs (spread them out). Wait for them to detonate the APMs and than detonate the RDX. This way you will kill the rushers and the medics that go in after them.

Anyway as long as you have fun playing it its OK. I like to talk shit about Titan mod because I just dont have fun playing it anymore. I did play over 50 hours of it in the beggining and quite enjoyed it.

To be honest, I don not use APM´s and RDX much any more on the titan. I´m way more capable with the supportkit when defending, especially when we are jsut a few guys.
And because I´m way too lazy to walk up and down the hall to replace the explosives lol.
Funny thing is to set down the sentry a shield and an ammo box in one hallway and then just take your shotty and move to the opposed hallway. The Atteackers think your are sitting there, cause of the ammobox and stuff and you just get them from behind with your shotgun. Funny as hell.
