i have a question regarding the RANKING UP process,,    ie ranking up from Colonel to Brig Gen,  etc etc,, the point system doesn't seem to be correct.  Its says 180,000 points to become Brig Gen.  (excluding all the requirements, for those that have them all completed).  I don't see people ranking up at the proper time. 

Perhaps there is a different point system for ranking up in the General's ladder?

Colonel - Brigadier General

Brig Gen - Major Gen

Mjr- Gen - Lt Gen

Lt Gen - Gen

if one has all the requirments, how do they rank up then?  What is the point value for each?  Anyone?

i'm over on points, and i have all the requirments,  ie  flight times and awards,  then i've joined another game after the server has updated the stats, clearly showing 800 points over the designated amount needed, enter another game play along and nothing,,, 

anyone any ideas?  or does it just take time?  all the other ranks have been typical.  get the points, update the stats page to show the completion of the requirements, join a game, get 1 point and promote..  not this time though.....

The majority of the time when someone who has the pt total and do not have the rank it is because of the following reasons:

Not enough time.  You need 1080 total hours played to become 1 star, 1250 for 2 star and 1440 for 3 star. 

Not all badge requirements met, i.e not all vet badges(med, eng, anti-tank, support, sniper, spec ops, knife, pistol, ground defense, air defense, aviator, heli, transport, and armor badges...all vet.)

yup that is correct. now if i could just figure out wtf the reqs. are for 4-star id be set

   HA, No I didn't "HAVE TO" get them all in a tank, but if it was open, I would jump in it.

But I would say I spent 2/3 of the time in the tank, on those maps.

Yeah, and I wasn't happy when they never showed.

But oh well, get them eventually.

that was before i changed the my localization stuff

woot finally 30,000 points later toke me a while cause i played bf2142 till i was a general
