So, you either loathe 2142, you've had some horrible problems or you are just plain bored, this guide will teach how to completely un-install Battlefield 2142 from your system! You'll also be able to manually remove EA Link if you need to do as well.

I hold no responsibility for you screwing up your system. This guide is confirmed by 2142 Technical Support EA. Follow each step carefully!

____________________________________________

> Go to My Documents
> Delete the "Battlefield 2142" folder (backup any screenshots etc you may want)

> Go to My Computer
> Open the hard-drive you installed 2142 on (default is C:)
> Go to Program Files
> Open the EA Games (default) folder
> Delete the 'Battlefield 2142' folder

> Go to the directory '\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information' (You need to put the drive you installed Windows/2142 on, default is C:)
> You may need to show hidden files and folders. To do this, go to Tools > Folder Settings and click the setting to SHOW hidden folders.
> Delete the folder named '{ED50ECE9-EC54-4C05-B5ED-EE4741A9F2EC}'
> Close all open windows / unused applications
> Delete everything in your recycle bin

This part gets tricky. Read over this before you do it, I hold no responsibility if you screw up. You are editing your registry so please, be careful.

> Click on the Start button
> Click on 'Run'
> Type in 'regedit'
> When the window opens up, go to File and then choose 'Export'
> Name the file as 'Backup' and make sure the Export range is set to all
> Click save, you'll go back to the Registry Editor window

> Click the plus sign next to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE'
> Click the plus sign next to 'Software'
> Click the plus sign next to 'EA Games'
> Delete the Battlefield 2142 folder
> Just above 'EA Games' folder, you'll see a folder called 'EA Core'. Click the plus sign next to this
> Click the plus sign next to 'EA Games'
> Delete any Battlefield 2142 Folders
> Click the plus sign next to 'Microsoft'
> Click the plus sign next to 'Windows'
> Click the plus sign next to 'CurrentVersion'
> Click the plus sign next to 'Uninstall'
> Delete the folder called '{ED50ECE9-EC54-4C05-B5ED-EE4741A9F2EC}'
> A confirm key delete message may appear, hit yes.
> Close the registry editor.

Battlefield 2142 is now completely and manually un-installed from your system.

Again, you are editing registry files here so be careful!

works fine for me, all you have to do is delete what you dont want the normal way, then to remove all your un-used registery files ccleaner will do the rest

Sometimes a Clean re-install from scratch is needed and a full windows reformat is too much work.    STICKY Please.

Maybe in the help section though.
