If i see a smoking chopper in the distance i'll shoot, if he's about to crash i will also shoot. If i can see the pilot i will shoot him, the same applies to hummers and vodniks.
ya and I have a few to my credit WTF. you usaully die with extra ammo or die trying to get to a resuply box.

Haven't tried. But I ususally will fire at aircraft with whatever Ive got. If you get enough people shooting at it, you can at least make them fly away to get repaired.
But I've hit a chopper with a blast from a M1A2 and a T90 without taking it down. <------ that's total BS that a tank shot can't blow a heli to bits.

a tank shot will bring the heli down to 4 or 5 bars, attack helicopters that is. put 1 tank shell in him and switch to the 50 cal for the coup de grâce.
fifty cal? what are you talking about? waste of time if you ask me, I mean who wants to spend their time trying to shoot ppl out of their cockpits? booorring. jets tanks or another chopper.
i once destroyed a chopper with the MEC engineer shotgun, i was just messing around shooting at it for about 5 minutes, and with the occasion fire that my team gave it, it eventually started smoking, so i chased it around shooting at it when ever i got a chance, it eventually went into the fog of war and with a few blind shots BAM....

In real life though wouldnt a .50CAL seriously fuck up a helicopter even if it got shot once? i mean it can take out keeps with no problems so shouldnt it do major damage if you shoot it from the side?
I wanna see that thing shot in real life and see how much it can go threw any one know how much solid steel it can go threw?

The Barrett .50 cal is actually an anti-material rifle... so absolutely tonnes.
I have seen a firepower demonstration where a dummy was placed behind a car, and a sniper with the barrett shot through the car's engine block and got a kill on the dummy - range was about 1000m so it was a damn good shot - the car was absolutely trashed, and the dummy was barely recognisable.

na i love camping airstrips. so many morons are going for 1 plane and then u shoot the guy that takes it. the other morons dont seem to care why hes not flying anymore they just take the jet, then i shoot the next one. after each person is kill 3 or 4 times they figure out its time to come look for me...... Plane whores are morons
I love sniping the pilot out of the choppers esp on Wake when they hover above the pad to repair and rearm the gunner never has a chance at that height lol

i was on the carrie of Wake. i lie down and just look in front of me...well what did i saw...an Jet pilot that came straight to me...(u know the tactic to make road kills with the jet fly very low on the carrier) i could see his face...i aimed on it...and shot and what i killed him .... and the plane crashed into the side of the carrier.. i think thats my best shot ever with the sniper and jet pilot

If you shot a blackhawk pilot out of his chopper and it dropped onto a bunch of team mates, would that be considered a teamkill or would they simply be no more.

If I happen to be a sniper and I see an enemy heli about, I'll try to kil the pilot, even though I don't know where to really shoot. Not really sure if you just need to shoot the cockpit, or actually hit the pilot.
not with m95..... maybe with smg, but always with tank, humvee, vodnik, that chinese crap, FAV...

Are you kidding? He's talking about the .50 on top of the buggys, the humvee / vodnik etc, and the tank.. and that thing is INSANELY good against helicopters! If you're a n00b and spray until it overheats you get it well and truly smoking before it does, and if you use it properly you can easily, EASILY bring it down. I am a pretty decent heli pilot and I make destroying anything with a mounted .50 cal my first priority... and if I'm getting hit by one that my gunner can't find, I get the hell out of the way. You can dodge missiles / tanks / jets but there is nothing you can do against sustained heavy machinegun fire, either kill it or hide.Kkookie wrote:

Silly question. Of course I would with my trusty M95.
Best way is to camp the heli and shoot the pilot, 10 feet off the ground so it crashes.
The other way is a wee bit harder but I got one yesterday. That's to shot a Blackhawk pilot on the fly. Very enjoyable moment.
Also yesterday. I didn't shoot him down but I ran him off. A Blackhawk was raping our last base. I put a clip into him and he decided to leave, leaving a nice trail of smoke. All my teammates managed to spawn then.

Even if you empty your ammo on it, the helicopter won't die. If you shooti it while it's smoking you have a chnace, i've done it before. Of course it's always better if you can take them right out of the chopper.
