I miss the storylines of BF1942.

I missed running up the hill as US in Omaha, and getting massacred by german guys in the bunker once I got out of the LST (Landing Ship Tank).

I miss bringing my fleet closer to the island in midway and bombing the crap out of the suckers trying to take off.

I miss the submarines that took out the suckers that were bombing the crap out of my team.

I miss CQC at its best in the city maps with so much cover sitting in a tank = living death.

I miss the MLRS

I miss the bigass missile you had to guide as 1st person.

I wish bf2 was not some zombie killer game. Just blast away with no storyline whatsoever. Yeah yeah I know maps have their own story. Weak shit storylines.

It was nice in the old days hey but maybe they will get off their asses and do something with BF3 or these Ex Packs.

when i play a map for the 500th time what do i need a storyline for?
seriously its a nice candy but utterly useless in a MP game but they could programm some AI for the bots and then add a storyline. hmm maybe i can hook up my toaster to the bots cause hes more intelligent .

EA didn't have a good 'story' team. But I do miss the moving carrier and stuff. I think they left it out because they don't know how to code the back of the carrier, where the boats are, how to use that with the moving water. Noobs...

But the stories were so incredibly wonderful! Fine you may have played it 1000 times but you're at LEAST reanacting SOMETHING!

i never played BF1942 cause it looked to crappy and i was hooked on AA:O at that time so i dont really know about the storys but i guess they just picked some WWII incidents.
now they should have created a more dense near future scenario. but they failed also cause they wouldnt have been the same as the old storys we all know and that formed our societys (ok alot of them). just wouldnt be the same imho.

i guess we wont see more storylines but definately more maps 8and i guess someeone before me was right that they failed to code a moving carrier with boats).

Reenactment? No, it wouldn't be fun. If we're talking reenactment then one team would always have to lose a certain battle. The games are very similar IMO. The only thing I miss is that BF1942 had more city/infantry maps (Battleaxe, Berlin, Stalingrad, Market Garden, Omaha Beach).

I wouldn't play BF1942 again, because the graphics are so dated (Forgotten Hope is ok)
But on occasion I play BFV, I loved BFV. To me it had the best features, except the maps weren't that good.

I Agree, but DC was extremely laggy, and took forever to load, plus learning curves flying a chopper, or plane were steep, that could be a good thing though.

Lol, but I have only been playing BF2 since like Dec. 20th, my enrollment date is from the demo, and is not when I actually started to play the full game. My stats are pretty good for less than a month of battle.

Re-enactment? How can you re-enact something that hasn't happened yet?

Isn't this supposed to be in the near future? What kind of re-enactments are you lookin at? Iraq? Afghanistan? How do you explain China? We're not at war with China, are we?
