Ok first read this

My clan recently bought a new 32 slots gaming server. And currently its set to 24/7 Karkand, and for a while that was fun but its coming out of my nose. So we held a poll on our site and the results were 60% for Karkand and 40% for Jalalabad. So the majority likes Karkand, but now I want your (the public) opinions on this.

Why just those two maps?  Why not Sharqi, or even offer a map with PLA?

Because its Infantry Only, PLA doesn't offer city maps, so it would be walking for about 45 hours to get to a flag, Sharqi might be good, but somehow we never get it started on Sharqi or anyother map besides those to for that matter..

How about Shongua Stalemate? That works (just about) on IO, and is good for a change. It's a really great map and should be seen more on IO as when played with vehicles, the infantry run the map (well...and transport helicopters)!

The above poster reminded me - BRING BACK MASHTUUR, DAMMIT!
It's been so long since I've even seen that map, I'd totally forgotten about it!

YES!! run Songhua 16 size! And Mashtuur 32 or 64 (or 16 but that gets to fast rounds..)!!!!! btw where is it hosted?

With 32 players you can't go wrong with

Karkand 16
Mashtuur 16
Sharqi 16 (this can get rather boring with less than 16)
Jalalabad 16
Songhua 16 (the 32 is for at least 44 players if you ask me)
Kubra 16 (This is actually very very very fun)
Even Dalian 16 wouldn't hurt.

edit: Kubra 16 is fucking amazing to be honest. The scaffold, the dam, plenty of sniping opportunities. And Songhua 16 is a gem that not many people have had the pleasure of playing.

I recently played Dalian IO and it was a blast!  Sure you have to go a long way at the start to get the first flags, but that's equal for both sides.  But that just makes it a better battle because you don't want to lose all the flags outside the UCB and have to walk a long ways.  Sort of inspires people to squad up more so they can spawn on their SL.

Daqing Oilfields is another good one to consider.  A lot of good battles go on near the tanks every time I play that map IO.

But I agree with TheDarkRaven, Songhua is an awesome map and should be seen more!

Well the maps are just as big as 32 karkand, that aint the problem, but most people want quick action and shit you know, so wé are kinda in debate between Jalalabad and Karkand.

Although the total map may be big, the actual used area (as in fields of travel and battle) are fairly limited. BUt it still makes for great game-play (you'll have boats without guns on - yippee!)!

You should consider my suggestion... break from the norm with a rotation that's unique but good. Why pay that cash for a server when it's just like every other one out there?

QFT... I have my 100 BRs on Karkand and RTJ, no need to play them anymore.  It would be nice to see other IO maps out there, level the playing field in a way.

I really don't care what map it i play in I/O.  i'm getting bored of karkand (karkand whore).  I/O rocks.  i voted for the 2 map split 3 rounds a piece.

We just sorted it out, its gonna be karkand or Jalalabad, switching everyweek. And everyweekend its going to be a rotation of Karkand/Jalalabad/Sharqi (Or Mashtuur)

It isn't final yet, because the server is payed by 15 other people besides me, so they all have to agree with this as well..anyway good luck with the pc
