Convince me to get back into BF2 again.

CONDENSED EDITION, FOR THOSE WITH BAD ATTENTION SPANS: I quit BF2 cause it was boring and no teamwork. Give me good servers, good players, etc and I give you karma

I essentially retired from BF2 a few weeks ago, opting for 2142. It's a very fun game to be honest, people shouldn't bash it so much. Who knows, maybe it's just the "newness" after having played BF2 for so long. But still, reading posts in this section make me yearn for BF2 sometimes.

I quit BF2 for multiple reasons:

-Teamstackers (I don't mind a challenge. I mind extremely good players on the enemy side, and all the shitty players on my side)

-Shitty servers (24/7 karkand, or city maps, or infantry only is boring as fuck. What's Battlefield without vehicles? Oh right, the stone age) the only good one is FULLCONTACTWAR which, last time I played on it, was getting worse. The AF servers have bad admins and idiotic players, and there are no EF servers. Not a big fan of SF either.

-Shit teamwork. Seriously, for a "bunch of pointwhores", I find myself seldom revived on many maps when a medic is right next to me.

-Netcode coded by a tin of soda. 2142 isn't lightyears ahead, but it's not as shoddy as BF2. No matter what tweaks I do it ends up being pretty bad.

-Jet imbalance. Yes, I know there are greats in the F-35 like StunGun and OakLeaves. But they practiced a lot. I recognize that those with lots of experience should be better, but it's pretty annoying when a guy who is far worse in jets than I am can kill me each time simply because his vehicle has a different model, skin, and name.

But as I said, there's still just a sort of... thing about BF2 that is making me attracted to it (not sexually you pervert). But when I think of the things listed above, that puts me off.

So try and convince me to get back into BF2. Give me servers with nice rotations (air maps included is a must, and at least 32 players). Tell me some nice war stories. Show me that you're a pretty competent teammate and add me on xfire. There's karma for those who can sway my mind

Of course, there are the shitty days too. I love 2142 because it's so balanced, but BF2 is still really fun.

The guns in the year 2142 will apparently be less accurate than the weapons we have now. If you actually want to kill someone you're shooting at, play BF2. If you're okay with shitty weapons, stick to 2142.

So far so-so. Spoke with haffey on xfire, he's got some good points. Hound, I might start visiting US again but it's not the same without the old gang like PspRpg. Simon, most clans that find my recruitment posts are either

-So laid back that they have 5 members who are never on

-Too realism-style

-So competitive they dedicated their lives to the game, even though I say in EVERY single "I need a clan" post that I don't get to play a lot

Ninja, the guns in 2142 really aren't that innaccurate.

My advice? Stick with 2142. Unless EA kills it with patches its seems to be a better game for teamwork and what your looking for than BF2

One way is go onto a City map sever and just pwn everyone with G36C and C4, will make you want to come back.

Oh and by clan's sever runs city maps and air maps, but never all at once we do it on different days. We use teamwork alot and never overlook a recruitment request. We are pretty small atm but if you are interested in improving the experience feel free to take a look (excuse the poor spelling in forum/accouncemnets).

Defently check out Project Reality. Its got lots of team work, so many new features and is way more balanced then bf2.
