Do you switch teams to win?

Yes, I try to all the time.	26%	26% - 10

I haven't ever considered doing this, or even realised this could be done. Because the winning team gets 2x the points, you could switch teams to get 2x points no matter what. I have recently been doing this because I want to rank up quickly. The restriction is that you can't switch teams unless your team has at least one more player than the other team. But an admin could get around this just by kicking people.

So I guess the question is, do you ever switch teams to win?

Only the commander gets 2x points... you knew that right? Unless I read your post wrong, you imply that everyone on the winning team gets double points...

BF2s should replace the sig section on the stats page with a stat showing how many times players have done this to get the win

Uh, you are mistaken. The winning team does not get x2 points, only the commader of the winning team. AND the commander only get x2 on his COMMANDER points. So, if you are not commander and get 50 points, then become commander and get another 10 before the round ends you would get a total of 70 points (if you won).

50 + ( 10 x 2 ) = 70

People that think you get more points by winning should switch teams if their team is losing.....

They'd be doing their old team a favor, coz they were most likely the reason why that team was losing.....

i dont swap teams, i dont care about stats appart from the K/D ratio of sniper kit and sniper rifle

Well i only play on Karkland really so i always play on the USMC simply cause well cause of tanking whoring at the hotel = massive points.

and USMC always usually wins cause the MEC are dumb and if im commander playing on the USMC is a must.

I don't, but am tired of autobalance switching me half way through the game to the losing team after I've kicked tail in the first half.

this doesn't happen if you're a squad leader, or (I think) a squad member. so, it's just more incentive for team play and not going lone wolf, as lone wolves are always the ones autobalance picks to switch.

Damn, I've been autobalanced to the losing side more than I care to recall. What ticks me off is that I enter a game almost over and get a loss because I cannot switch sides. What property on a server permits side switching, AUTOBALANCE =0?

The only time I ever switch is if
a) The other team has 2 men less
b) I've got a friend on the other team and the number of players is odd anyway.

I play on a server that dosn't really let you switch teams. I tried switching a couple of times when I was just sick of losing, but it switched me straight back and smacked two points off my score.

Not to switch teams in order to get easy wins. Sorry.

P.S: I did it again just as the tickets reached zero, got another two points knocked off my score, but ended up on the winning team! Woo! Cheap win!

I've done this a few times, when I first join the server and theres about 20 tickets left, sometimes I'll switch to the other side. If I didn't want my WCR it wouldn't be worth it to get the -2 every time I switch.

Well, I was switched today as a squad member. So maybe its squad leaders?
Had 70 some points, got switched when the USMC started to disconnect at around 20 tickets left.
*sigh*
