It was pretty laggy when I had all of the C4s on screen though, that's hard to do with a X1900XTX...

Upload the mod to filefront or something for the less game file savvy people

***DISCLAIMER*** I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU SCREW UP YOUR GAME. ***DISCLAIMER***

OK, go into your C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods folder and copy the bf2 folder onto your desktop.

Rename the folder that you just put on your desktop to bf2modded, and then cut in back to the Battlefield 2\mods folder.

Open up the bf2modded folder and go to Objects_server/Weapons/Handheld/c4_explosives. Copy the c4_explosives.tweak file onto your desktop and then right click it and uncheck "Read-only", hit apply and OK. Open it in notepad and find the line:

Replace the 5 with any 1-2-3 or 4 digit number. And that sets how many C4s you can place before they disappear when you place another one.

***I would recommend that you only put up to 1000, because you comp will lag when they are all on the screen and might crash if you try and detonate 1000+ C4s.***

Then find the line:

Replace the 1 with any 1-2-3 or 4 digit number. That set how many C4s you carry.

Save and exit the .tweak file and the cut it back from your desktop to your Objects_server/Weapons/Handheld/c4_explosives folder.

You're ready to go. Boot up BF2 and go to the community --> custom game tab and then load up bf2modded.
If you don't want to load up twice, then create a shortcut on your desktop and put       "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/bf2modded +ignoreAsserts 1 +restart 1     in the Target line.

This mod will take effect when you start up a local game or single-player game. It will work on any map and any side.
