hey well i have had to reformat my PC a few times and now i don't have word installed, the disc i got it on (Microsoft works) only installs word viewer, i was wondering if you guys know any websites i could download word from. at the minute i have windows service pack 1 installed because 2 fucks up my PC not letting me turn it on. i really need this so i can change my CV and fill out application forms.

Are you sure Microsoft Works only has word viewer? Mine came with Word (I'm pretty sure).

it has microsoft works word, but everytime we try and open any other doc's it doesnt work because we need microsft office

Well if you no-one else can help you in the meantime, you can start downloading OpenOffice.org. Its not Microsoft Office, but hell, its something right?

That shouldn't be. For a long time I only had Word from Microsoft Works as the only Office component on my computer, and I had no trouble opening documents. Unless you're talking about excel and powerpoint documents, in which case yes you would need Office.
