Yeah we had those on our old PCs, it would take 5 minutes to turn off so the person would continue working for a while and their PC would just magically shut off XD then they bought keyboards without power buttonsbennisboy wrote:

but i disagree with you on the year 11 thing
seriously my year 11 had to be the best year of my life, our school was and still is in the process of replacing all its computers with shiny (but crap) dells so we spent the year breaking absolutly anything to do with ICT we did no work whatsoever and we pissed each other off so much it was unbelievable.
I mean even if you don't chuck computer mice out of a three story window (as one extreme) then just once in an IT lesson you have to pick out every single key in the keyboard and rearrange them so that your keyboard goes ABCDEF etc instead of QWERTY etc then try and type its hours of fun in itself, then for variations you try and get a teacher to type on it,without them realising that the keys have been moved (yes there are teachers this dumb), or wait until a friend gets sent on some chore somewhere by a teacher and replace all the keys on their keyboard in this manner, the sheer confusion of it renders most sane minds crazy (and unless your teachers really weird you get away with it because they are bollocking you for what? moving a few keys around?)
repeatedly tapping the shift key to turn sticky keys on is a brilliant one (especially due to the noises the computer makes), also once a person gets fucked off with you doing this to them and tries to stop you have someone else on their other side simply put sticky keys on again whilst they are distracted, then between you have one of you distract whilst the other hits sticky keys just endlessly, it is torture on the level of most CBeebies programs (though to cover my arse, do it to a friend who will have a stress but ultimatly will not commit suicide or anything, seriously continuous sticky key torture degrades the mind of the victim)
for a variation on this try and have everyone play a sticky key symphony
however if you have dells with the flatscreen moniters right click on the wallpaper and see if any form of options come up, i can't remember exactly wht they were called and it is possible the tech guys at your school blocked it, but those monitors have an option to turn the screen upside down and back to front
endless fun because i worked it out by accident one day whilst changing the wallpaper, told 3 other people and we systematically screwed with everyones PC, the best bit was our teacher (the head of the IT department) didn't know how to put it right XD
