i've noticed, and always get pissed off when an commander who was playing as, say an engineer, whilst sitting in an idle tank wins the round, then at the end of the game they get the top scores for the infantry and vehicle scores, even though they just sat on their arse racking up CO points!

I reckon that there should be a special commander section on the points screen as they do not deserve infantry awards for hiding in a bush all game, anyone agree with me???

Who cares about those "awards" at the end of the game. OK, it looks cool when there is a lot of yellow but no one else notice that.

exactly, who cares. its not like you get any points for being "the top person in armor" or "best engineer" for each round. Let them do it. If you dont like it, then be the commander yourself, or move to a different server.

What are you talking about?  The commander doesn't get points for doing anything.  The commander's score is an average of the team's score, and if they win the round the commander gets a x2.  That's why it's better for the commander to stay out of the action, scan the battlefield and call out enemy positions, provide UAV overflights, and drop supplies/arty.  There is more than enough work being a good commander to worry about trying to fight on the front lines.

did you even read his post? ^
it is true that the commander doesn't get points for doing stuff himself, but he is talking about the screen after the game that says best assault, best spec-ops etc etc.
so for example the commander will be best sniper laying in the corner the whole round.

Still its not like they gain anything, only a bit of fame in the server.

Then that is a bug in the way the stats were recorded or being displayed, but is not a normal function of the scoring process.
