That is the former factory of the last MAJOR british car maker, MG ROVER, and in 2005 it went bust and 6000 jobs where lost leaving an empty car production line with 1 million cars left in its parks.DesertFox423 wrote:
So what happened, they all got fired or laid off or something? That place looked almost post-apocalyptic.
You shall find that it was FORD, not GM that has the names, as they own Land Rover in Solihull, Jaguar in Coventry & Castle Vale also.ELITE-UK wrote:

In 2006 a chinese company called shangai automotive bought the company and dismantled the machinery and took it to china and now thats what is left of the factory.
Also in 2006 GENERAL MOTORS bought the Rover name for 25 million to preserve its Range Rover and Land Rover names.

Just had a look around on that site, the hospital I was born in has been abandoned and is currently being turned into a block of flats.
On the plus side, some poor soul is going to be living, eating & breathing on the same spot where my mum shat, bled and pissed me into this world.
Enjoy your cornflakes.

I once fed 'lard & bell cheese on toast' to my drunk mate while he slept. He choked. And then vomited.1927 wrote:
