they came up with some 1/2 ass patch before releasing 2142

and its DICE that do the coding BTW not EA they are the publisher.

If this was true, it is a nice guesture from EA/Dice. BUT..... I think this is just one of those "lets tell them they can give us suggestions on how to improve so they feel better but we won't actually do anything" kind of things. I know it sucks but it's probably true.

I told them it would bomb, should have released it as a mod for $10. I don't even have the desire to go try the new weapons for the time they are unlocked. The game sucks.

220k copies of a mod at $40-50 is a killing for a game they didn't even have to develop or buy an engine for...

they sold at least 300k copies worldwide, so at least $10,000,000 in sales and it couldn't have cost more than a million or two to develop.
