Bluey Tint on Everything!

This only happens at random points, maybe once every couple of days, certain parts of whatever Im looking at on the screen go blue. I dont know what it is and its pretty annoying as I have to restart to get it back to normal.

Anyone got any ideas of whats causing this?

Its a sign of dying pixels how old is your screen ? mine was stil under waranty when it happened....
Too bad there is no fix I had to have it replaced.

is it individual pixels (little squares) or whole areas of the screen, like a blue blob shaped shade?

*edit:* Also CRT or LCD? Age? Type (so I can try to look it up)?
for the record though it's prolly borked, you have a chance though if it's a CRT.

I thought that might have had something to do with it!

Its a Viewsonic VA915. I dont think its the screen itself. It seems to be that a certain shade of black always turns blue, and then it ranges from light to dark blue (depending on how dark or light the black is). I've got an Ati x850 aswell.

Take the back of the case off while power is off, blow it out with a can of air, put case back on & power cycle it. Careful not to touch the back of it, they can hold a charge for 2 days & bite you into a wall.
It fixed my 10 year old 21' CRT. If that doesn't work you might try degaussing it. If that doesn't work then you could try & rejuve the picture tube.

I agree. What you're seeing is likely a video cable not properly seated at one end or the other, and if it is, then the pins on one or both of the cable's ends may be loose.
