I was looking in cpu-z and it says its running at 1.6mhz? its ment to be 1.86 and the multiplyer went from x7 to x6 whats up with that?

Intel EIST thermal control thing. It's used to save power so it lowers the clock multiplier. It's ok to leave it on, CPU would go back to normal speed when used 100%.

Certainly does....quit worrying to see though ...AMD have cool and quiet ... shocked me when my AMD3700 should be running at 2.4 was only running at 800!! but its a seemless switch over and yes It runs at full speed when required.....

I think there is a util in the Internets somewhere to turn it off
