I capture flags (or defend them), so the distances are always varying. I do love getting the long distance shots (300m+), depending upon the map (and rifle), but I've gotta say that most of my shots range between 10-200m.
All that aside, I still enjoy mixing it up in fierce firefights, despite the opposition almost always having machine guns.

Depends on how far you are, And how far your enemy is. I am usally shooting people over 400+m.

50-450, i tend to sit back and look. ive made a 500m shot.
I prefer about 100m but I can't exactly ask my intended victim to come a bit closer or take a few steps back so wherever i end up at. I'm also pretty good at close range "scoped" sniping (can't hit shit without the scope at any distance ).....at least i think so.

My longest shot was around 521 meters. But I usually snipe from around 250-450 meters.

I would say i normally snipe between 100m to about 320m.
I tend to have my pistol out if i am under 75m make for faster pistol whipping.
If i am using the m95 i tend to shoot at a shorter range than the L96A1.

Or just be Squad Leader and place a marker (Attack, Move, Destroy, etc.) on the guy and it'll show you the distance.
Usually between 1-150m. But I usually try and cap flags, especially if I can't spot out any enemies at the flag I'm scoping out.
But I still have the uncanny ability to always sense a flag with a full squad near it. Then I somehow automatically run to it. Magnetism perhaps. They get a huge positive score from me running there a lot while I get a negative score.

The week i stopped playing i got a 1200m headshot. I stopped while i was ahead
i hit a guy out of a jeep from over 500m, from the hill next to the airfield flag to north village, but it was just complete blind luck. If only i didn't sell my old PC with my screen shot of it, i would show it to you. But on average I snipe close, 1+meters.
10-280 meters at a guess...u need to aim above the targets head to get the kill when aiming to enemy whos over 200 otherwise you hit torso because of bullet drop
Its difficult to get long range kills and be useful for your team at the same time. A kill while standing over a flag is worth about 20 kills from the middle of nowhere. Plus long range kills are just too revivable. You are depending on the other team failing miserably at teamwork. But landing those long shots can be fun. If i am medic, sniper, or support, I will just shoot at anything I see beyond 200 m. If you are moving the whole time and using cover (and you are aware of who can shoot at you), you get all these wtf-across-the-map kills on people camped out playing "sniper."

Actually, I've tried to play with a bunch of the "Wookie" snipers to test my skill (and THEIRS!!! Hehehe), but sadly, most of them are in Europe, and I always get booted for high ping before I get a chance to load/spawn in.
