I love both AK's and M16 ... G36E is noob weapon , L85A1 is only good for it's scope - if you know how to place single shots from AK's and M16 you do not need scope . Havent played EF though so I couldnt judge about L85A2 or FAMAS ...

I'll take the AK101 over any other assualt rifle, but then again, I haven't really played with the AK47.

in CQC ak-101 is el winner, but at moderate range i freakin love the G36 more than hommus and pita bread

My favourite is the M16. Too many players totally overlook this gun, and many more have no idea how to use it. Using the m16 has a very specific technique, and once mastered can stand up to any AK or G36 user anytime.

The 101 is as good as the 36E, if not better. At close range, the 101 is unbeatable, and at long range, full auto fire will blow your target away in half a second. It's even better as assault, with the GP-30.

The M16 is good medium ranges, but not further. It throws my aim after a burst, making me have to stop and re-align my target.
The G3 is a great gun - though the magazine is a bit small.
The F2000 combines accuracy, power and a 30 round mag into a scoped gun with the grenade launcher. I havn't unlocked it yet, but I always manage to kick arse everytime I pick it up. In my opinion, F2000 > all.
