So, I installed Azureus on my rig a year ago. I haven't used it much, but now that I'm downloading 6GB of medieval warfare, I noticed a nasty error.
When running, Azureus will sooner or later freeze my computer. I have no idea how this happens; I close all other applications that I know of that use the net (Steam, EA Link...), so I think Azureus is the culprit.

Anyone got any suggestions? Karma for those with helpful thoughts... This is really annoying!

I recommend uTorrent. I used Azureus, and then switched. uTorrent is so much easier to use, looks much better and uses less resources.

But how about a solution to this problem as it stands? Only one gig remains, and it's taken me a month...

Is there a way to switch over to uTorrent and somehow continue the current download?

i don't see why not.. use both and find a way to switch, and then delete azureus.

i would reinstall your torrent program it wont delete the files you just need to find the tracker again. Are you multitasking while dling cause then it would be obvious that you do not have enough memory to do so.
