My brother is currently a Brigadier General in 2142.  We haven't been able to find anything on how to rise to Major General.  I'm guessing it has nothing to do with points.

So, does it require certain badges, pins, or ribbons?  Anybody know?

Don't quote me on this, but I think it can only be awarded by EA.  Wait till the end of the month and if he is a good brig. gen. then he might get promoted.  But as I said, I'm not sure if this is right.

EA pick them, But no one know how. There are many many different theroys, and most of them I find hard to belive, other than the dart board theroy.

EA havn't offically come out and told us how anything higher than brig so its really just rumours.

Yes they have but it's still kinda vague.

It's not really vague at all:

- You must be in the top 76 in the world with experience points;
- You need to earn at least 2000 points in one week;
- For that week, you need a KDR of above 1.

If thats true, then why isn't players like kain etc always top ranks, as they would be geting well over 2k a week....

I read that it was

Only 50 Major Generals in game
Only 25 Lt Generals in game
Only 1 supreme commander in game

Requirements:

Between 2-5000 points in a week
An SPM of between 1-2 for that week (means I am to good to be one )
A K : D of between 1-2 for that week
Ranked in the top 40 Brig Generals of the game

And some other requirement of which I cant remember

He is. Everytime I play with him he's a Major or Lieutenant.
