Ever since I got BF2 voip has never worked. People simply cant hear me loud enough no matter how loud I talk. Is there any way to fix this? People can hear me fine in TS or xfire but VOIP doesnt work.
in the options you can adjust the transmission volume of VoIP

You need to adjust the mic intake volume in the sound settings menu.
The MIC volume is at max in my sound settings. When I open the BF2 Voip setup thing I can not hear myself in the playback. Its completely distorted or not heard at all no matter how loud I talk.

Make sure you tick the 20db mic boost in your windows audio properties. If you can make some kind of noise then it all works, its just a volume issue.
Sometimes BF2 turns off MIC boost on the windows options settings, try minimizing and checking that.JahManRed wrote:

I dont see any 20DB MIC boost. I have a Logitech headset.
mute your mic and then unmute it then when in bf2 turn off VOIP and then turn it back on. i think one of them is what fixed it for me maybe both or neither.
when you are viewing the squad selection screen go in a squad and check if the little speaker symbol is next to your name.

The speaker symbol is next to my name and people can hear random breaking out noises but no one can actually hear me say a full sentence.
In the voice properties there is no boost mic option. The only option is none. Thats fucked up. Maybe my mic doesnt have that option?
this happens to me all the time, when i join a bf2 server my mic goes dead, so when i join i have to go to the sound options and put it back to normal, it works properly then, but still it sux to go back to windows every time i load a serverhawaythelads wrote:
