Well, my SPM went over 2 when I read the guides, so yeah!
No. I want to play my own way, not someone else's way.
Well, I did learn what stat-padding meant, which kind of prevented me from being a jackass.
I've seen some ideas in the vids and guides on here that have helped me with some aspects of the game.
Same. I read a few things in guides that have helped my game. Such as 'dont use 'aim' with support guns'. Made it much easier to play.silo1180 wrote:

Yea.
No because I learned the game by myself, and developed my own game style.
yeh, the guides really helped
I learned some basics to my game from this site, but I became better by playing in competitive matches and practicing with some very skilled players. Pub all you want, but you get better by playing the best.
Certain parts of my game have become better from the guides. If there is someone out there who already invented the wheel, I am not going to try to invent it again. That doesn't mean that I have to copy their style. Your style will most likely come from who you are not what you read. A lot of the material on this site will help you from becoming a tard (assuming you are not one prior to playing BF2).
Thanks and remember, if you have teamwork, it is more fun and you will have more success. And yes, it is ok to have teamwork outside of your clan.

I joined bf2s when I was some low sergeant rank. Now im a Lt.Col.
You're gona improve with time (well most people *cough* Loewe231 *cough* ) so being part of BF2s has probably played a role.

Never read a guide on this forum (sorry all you guide writers)
I play my own game. Im sure i can improve, but i love playing the style i play in.
Thats why my KDR is so low, and my SPM is so high.
However, I see my KDR and SPM constantly and consistently rising, which means i am still learning and developing as a player which is all i want to see.

It's made me a better player, since I collect tips from different players whom I know are good.
Better player? NO
to know how to get all the awards? YES
to been hated? YES
to find better challenges online? Well, YES

Yes. There is a plethora of info here. There have been some simple game functions that I was unaware of until perusing through the forums.
My K finally evened out after joining BF2s.
Always been a 4kdr/6spm player.

The guides and posts gave me ideas especially on how to protect myself. Really no effect on how I WANT to play.
Nope. Been playing this game since the demo. Learned everything by myself
yes it helped alot
yes, reading guides and watching plane movies have sure helped me becoming a better pilot. Have not helped me in anything else. Still suck in everything but flying!
Im better than before I knew about bf2s, but its not because of the website.
Learning the Split-S made all the difference in dogfighting, and since I learned it from here, I would say yes.
the guides you people make on here helped me.
