Okay well about four days ago I tried to play BF2142, and for some reason it didn't launch. I did not mess around with anything but for some reason it refuses to launch. I tried to do a clean reinstall, I even removed and reinstalled EA Link but it still won't launch. Dos anyone know what the problem and solution might be. Karma for people who help.
did you try to set it to win 2000 compatibility, launching and (if successful) closing the game again and getting rid of the compatibility mode?doctastrangelove1964 wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

right click the shortcut ---> properties then go to the compatibility tab and select win 2000 from the drop down menudoctastrangelove1964 wrote:

why 2000?
You did a clean install? Thats a manual uninstall yes? i.e. deleting the BF2142 Folder in My Documents. (if not... try deleting the folder)
Try the FAQ i have a link to in my sig- although it is for BF2, the majority of it applies to 2142.... (Since it is only a mod )

no one knows but i have a feeling that if you don't play 2142 at least every 2 days, it will feel insulted and not let you play unless you give it special attention.Titch2349 wrote:

Uninstall it again, and clear out it's registry files (you better know what you're doing though).
