So, if you go to high/secondary school, what is it?

Public? Private? Hardcore religion-based?

North American public schools are a joke, btw.

I'll leave my school later for bragging rights

Yes, I intentionally spelt the title without the 'l' on purpose.

I went to an Australian Government (public) School. The closest thing we had to religion there was half a Bible some kid ripped in two.
I liked the school, though sometimes you'd get real ass-fuckers and the teachers would do nothing to send em out, or give em detention.

NT public school. The system and curriculum is a joke. The teachers are the best in the NT and some of the better ones in Australia.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

I'm wondering, what's Aussie Public School like? Is it European? North American? British? Or is it on its own?

Well in England Private = Public.... weird I know.

As for me, I got to a private day/boarding school, think Eton without the royalty.

You need a passport that's not from Taiwan, and you need to pass an English proficiency test. Teachers are employed from Europe and North America.

Are they popular then? Seemed as more upper-class?  What age do you take the test/s? Do you have to sit an annual test?

I see you write before how you are at least bi-lingual (I forget what language + English).  I think learning more than one/your natural language is excellent.

My daughter (6) goes to a Welsh school and will not learn any English until she is 8.  We can't teach her Welsh at home so she has been learning two languages since age of 4.

At 11 or whenever you go to senior school she will also have to pick German/French along with Welsh and English.

You take the test when you enter the school. You have to be upper class to be in the school, because the school fee is pretty expensive. You don't need to know Chinese to get to the school, just English. But Advanced Chinese and Spanish are the two foreign language options.

Really? All the IASAS schools limit like 10% of the nationality... here only i think 13% of the population are allowed to be Thai, in SAS it's only 5% or something. TAS is a little higher at 20 I think.

I'm pretty sure you mean 'upper class' as expatriate. I'd bet you don't even pay more than 80% of your school fees.

I pay 100% (Rich grandpa always helps). For some reason, there's not a lot of white people, they just all left. But in middle school there's more white people now.

I went to a private Catholic school then a public high school that was (at the time) in one of the best school districts in the US, but that was long ago in a galaxy far, far away.
