I use teamspeak primarily for in game communication. Does anyone know which program is best and why out of skype, xfire, and teamspeak (and any other programs out there)?

Thanks in advance.

Teamspeak or Vent.

Personally for me TS is easier to use rather than vent. (And it looks nicer)

skype is best IMO. always works, good quality, you dont need a server. con: not really useful for more than 3-4 people at a time. TS is better for that. i dont really like vent. most other VOIP software sucks
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

I really like using the in-game VOIP it works well for me and when you do get a squad that wants to work as a team its better not to have lots of other chatter.

I find every ventrillo server has better quality than every teamspeak server I have been on.

ME TOO.  Ventrilo has better clarity.  I dont like in game VOIP because you cant chat in between rounds.  Quality leaves room to be desired as well.

I don't know why, but sometimes you actually can chat in between rounds (at least during several rounds on the same map).
If it's a bug, must be the only one I don't want to be fixed.

I prefer TS. Easier to use. The only problem is the delay.

I have used all types; TS, Vent, and Skype. We have Ventrilo on our server, b/c that's what our host provides. I prefer TS, but Vent uses less resources, sounds clear, and has no distinct delay. Sometimes a member does sound weaker for some unknown reason, but it works reliably. Plus its great if we go server hopping, we can still chat between maps loading, etc.

Yeah, too bad more people don't use it as it is the most convenient when just hopping into a server for some public fraggin.

But don't you need to pay for ventrilo and TS "servers" like the place where people talk?

i like TS i really dont like vent, something with voice activation is really hard to adjust i have tp put mine on softest and highest income volume just to hear a normal convo...on TS i just come in and talk.  Skype is good also i used it for years before i got into clans with more people

Vent has way better quality, and it has better mechanical voices.
