Help needed to get a lot of pistol kills

I'm short to heal gold (hope they fix those recording problems asap) which is my last class gold. After that one I'd like to go for pistol gold (which brings along the Infantry Combat of Merit Medal as a bonus).

Since I use the pistol only occasionally (99 kills per today, did only two concentrated rounds on Belgrade for bronze and silver without a look at the K/D) I'm not familiar with good maps / locations / situations where I can rack up pistol kills more easy (fair K/D) and especially in less time.

Thanks in advance for your tips and no, P&K is no option at all!

You can try to force yourself just get on a titan as recon with sniper shoot them once and finish off with the pistol I recommend the eu pistol

Beside the fact that I don't pad (never would like to have an award worth nothing), your statement is not true! EA is on a hunt now and has allready locked some of such servers. Guess what happens if they meet you on the next server they are looking at ...

But please let us stop talking about P&K servers here. I know that there are different opinions but there are enough other threads to discuss.

Thought of that too, because it worked fine at BF2. But in 2142 I'm hardly able to hit someone with the pistol when he's behind 20 or 30 meters not talking about killing him at this distance. Any trick about firing pistols over longer distances?

Often heard about the "Kakao"-Pistol (this allways comes to my mind ) being the better one. My 99 kills mentioned above split into 57 with the Takao and 42 with the Pereira. This seems to proove the better quality (even in an untrained hand), but perhaps I just was PAC accidentaly when going for silver (can't remember).

the trick is to not zoom in but just crouch when aiming with the pistols then everything should work just great

Just use the Takao, and you'll do fine. The Perriera is a piece of crap.

^^ Agree. I really don't understand the big deal about K & P servers. As long as you're engaging in combat with the other team and not "shoot, revive, shoot revive" coordinating with the enemy, who cares? You're all using evenly matched weapons so I don't know why EA would get its panties in a twist over it.

Would an all Recon or all Assault server be a violation, too? More food for thought. If you're paying for a server seems only fair to be able to configure the combat whatever way you choose as long as you're not using exploits.

I agree with the others...get on a titan server (since those last forever) and get on PAC since the Takao is much better at this than the pereira...

Even at the beginning of the match don't ever put the pistol away...your KTD ratio may suffer a bit, but 18 kills with a pistol is very possible (I got 19 one round before my gold badge was available which kinda pissed me off.)

Go play Cerbere or Gibraltar, load up with a sniper rifle. Take guys out at close range with the pistol.... Done. If this is proves to be too hard, nail 'em with a Zeller shot to the chest first.

Also, it helps if you have the extra rounds unlock, in which case the EU pistol is pretty good at this... It's rounds are nearly as powerful as the Bauer. If you get good at the pistol, I bet you'll grow to appreciate the revolver at close range. It's badass.

Too true, the Periera has much better stopping power at close range than the Takao pistol--typically Takao is better all-purpose fighting, hence why I love it that much more.

PAC pistol > SMG & AR ^_^ (if you can aim while running around like mad)(i can)

i think getting a massive amount of pistol kills is similar to knifekills
getting close means more hits so active camo is a good option imo

Concentrated on this job the last days, so I was able to get the badge today. (Unfortunately I had to go work than, so the medal has to wait until tonight.)

If anybody is interested:

Best (and final) map was Gibraltar. The short ways, intensive fights, much cover and the 2nd level made it for me.

Followed your tips and used active cammo (allthough you can't depend on it, it helps a lot), forced myself to use the pistol by leaving the Lambert at home (got a second headshot pin on Cerbere by accident) and took the APMs since the Ghost doesn't seam to work anyway and to keep the K/D positive.

From 57 + 42 = 99 I went up to 317 + 78 = 395 (Takao + Pereira = Total). I had some nice and close rounds after I reached the 300 kills, but it took some rounds to find the perfect one.

So thanks again for your help mates!

And just for the record: No single shot (or anything else) on a cheater server!
