I hardly ever post on here, but at the risk of flame...

Come on. I'm not saying Northern Strike is gonna revolutionize gaming forever. I'm not even saying it's gonna be all that great. But it will add to the experience, no doubt, and who knows? Think about some of the ways you can make it work for you. I'm trying to work out how to place motion mines in a Titan corridor and MMB them down at the nadespammers...working out how to use the RDX shotty to kill APMs...it's not about the stuff they give you, it's about the sneaky ways you find to improvise.

Personally, I'm getting a little tired of the maps. It could just be me though.

Anyway, flame me or whatever. But don't knock NS unless or until you've tried it. We all said the same thing about 2142, and with the exception of some folks, most think it's pretty good.

You are right. There will be a lot of tactics that are going to be thrown in the bin with NS.
Althoug the supply line idea didn't work out the way i hoped and the Goliath isn't really that great, the evening maps are a nice alternative for the daylight maps that are used now, the new speeder thing is a real infiltrator, fast paced driving to get you across the map and behind the lines.
The decoy grenade is certanly going to improve Titan assault (or clear that motion mines from the forcefield of the Titan, and they add a new way of making motion mines an directed offensive tool.

You all do realize that you have to hit a stationary soldier directly with the bait, and than he has to stay there for few seconds for mines to explode ?
Yes it will be fun when you succeed but you have better chances of knifing the poor, dumb bastard

It's most likely going to be treated the same as all the other booster packs.
If you don't have a credit card then tough...
You can re-purchase the game when it retails with BF2142/BF2142:NS a couple months from now.

Not true,,, it will kill him from a distance of 2 metres... and most ppl are too confused/amazed about the lollermines flying around in cirkles in mid-air to actually run away,, and if you have 6 ppl down a corridor i find it hard to believe they can all manage to get away Lollermines + Bait = The new mobile/aimable RDX would make quick work of a console and a core
