Something to do with your GFX card, overheating maybe?
Psychedelic
Happens to me, too (sometimes).
Think it isn't overheating of the GFX-card, cause my card is cool (yeah, the temperature, too).
I have seen this on other PCs with GF-7900gt or similar GFX.

hAx!!!!!!!!!
Sorry I Have no idea. I had that same problem when I first installed SF, but It just went away after a couple of days. How long has it been like that?
Id keep it, it looks heaps funky, like your underwater, or tripping hard!
just happend once... i got a 7800 gt but it doesn't overheat. normally...
I've also had it with my 7600 GT..maybe its an conspiracy against the 7 series.. anyway I just left the server and rejoined and it was gone..
Possibly...I never had it happen to me when i had a 6800, but now i have two 7900's and i get it every now and then >_>RDMC(2) wrote:

Doesn't bother me though, cause there aren't that many sandbags around and its not too distracting....
Happened to me a few times (mostly on Sharqi and Surge). I have a X1800.
Ive got a 6800 gs and i noticed a few months ago i was getting that. Never got around to figuring out why.

yes, I've seen this, it happens from time to time - in BF2 vanilla (and in SF? not sure), but I've seen this several times in BF2 vanilla servers.OGdR_MadMax wrote:
the other day something was messed up...

It's not from your PC, it's a bug in the game, or the server messed up something... but it has nothing to do with the client-side PC, I am sure about that.
PS - my video is a 6600GT PCI-E.

anyone with a ATi card had these issues yet?

the x1800 is ATIThe_Jester wrote:

Well it's probably an over-heating issue. Either that or the sand bags are melting in the hot sun.
so i'm not the only one having some weird problems sometimes. i installed riva tuner to check the temp, but it seems it's stable around 43-46°C all the time so i can't imagine overheating.
have a 7900 GTX 512 MB with newest nvidia drivers installed, AMD 4800+ X2 CPU
play at 1280x1024 res on all high settings
it's damn f... annoying if this just happens when your flying or engaging another player
have no solution other than to restart pc, connect again and see if it's gone
EDIT/UPDATE: some of these weird shadows/colors/glitches just seem to disappear if you look in an other direction, but then there are also times when they are allaround
WEIRD

Thinking about it i can't remember seeing this happen before patch 1.4. Maybe that patch had something to do with it?
yeah, i bought the game around march-april last year i think and the first couple of months i never had those problems. only around september-octobre these things started popping up. maybe after patching the game to 1.4 ??? i always use full patch.crimson_grunt wrote:

Nah I've had it all the way since way back, used to happen with a certain setting turned up to high. Nothing to do with overheating, using an X800.
I had it before, it happens when the shaders don't optimize properly, delete files in cache folder.
I get this all the time after installing PR v0.5
