My Options At School

Today we had a 'special' assembly at school today. We were all look "Ooooo I wonder what its about, no-one's jumped off the Sports Hall roof this month" (Cough).

Once we got inside the Deputy Head started talking about our Options for GCSE's and for what we want to do in life. This came unexpected to us all, seeing as some of us don't know what we want to do (I included).
The school also said that they were going to give us a sheet of paper with an 'example' of three columns with different subjects divided up into them:

Column 1 - Humanities
- History
- Geography
- Drama
- Religious Education (R.E)

Column 2 - BTECH (Equivalent to 4 GCSE's, only available if I do well in my SATs in May. A BTECH has five options in it, combining some subjects together, and examples of jobs that you could do)
- Art & Design (Fashion Industry etc)
- Travel & Tourism (Air Hostess, something to do with abroad)
- Health & Social Care (Babysitting, Paramedics etc)
- Physical Education & Sport (Football coaches etc)
- Graphics (Logo designers and anything to do with designing ... bit like Art & Design)

Column 3 - Other (Subjects around the school etc)
- Food Technology
- Music
- Art
- Drama
- Graphics
- Many more can't think of the rest.

I ticked, HISTORY, P.E & SPORT and DRAMA

But these were Unofficial, and only the school staff will recieve these so they get a basic idea of what subjects we'd like to take!! The Official Options Meeting is on 15th March at our school.

but we have to do

English
Spanish/French
P.E

i lol at you. You have to choose a BTECH.
For GCSE which I'm taking in May/June my options were history, geography, music and german.

This was an 'example'.

I have more columns to choose on 15 March at the proper meeting.

I'm doing...well 11 GCSEs, I think! We had to do French, so I chose History; Geography; and R.S. Not to brag, but I got something like one of the highest Year 9 SATs English marks (don't ask me how...divine intervention is my guess!) - the year 'boffin' was amazingly annoyed!

I did 11 - 9A*s, 2As... damn English kept me from getting a clean sweep.
