Alright, I've got a z-5300 5.1 system. It's OK and all, but a few things that annoy me:

-If I leave it on, then it makes this weird buzzing noise. If I turn off the speakers, it makes this wierd farting noise from time to time. To avoid these, I have to switch off the main power on the subwoofer.

-Shitload of cables under my desk, I really really really hate cables.

-Desk space. Gah.

-I don't really need all that sound power.

So what I'd like is a set of speakers that would be nice replacements. I don't need 5.1 to be honest. 2.1 works fine. I was looking at a few speakers, and this one stood out to me:

Any opinions on it? The reviews seem to applaud it. Worth it? Like I said, I'm not really an audiophile, and these current speakers I just don't like. I'm more than happy with 2.1, as my speakers aren't even set up in a proper 5.1 format to begin with.

Thanks!

Those are what I get if I were in the market for a 2.1 set. Reviews seem good and they've got plenty of power. I like the looks better than the less expensive sets, which all look cheap to me, for lack of a better term.

I've got some of them on one of my PCs - they're very nice. Not as good as my Z-5400s on my main rig though. Digital audio connects FTW! The difference between digital and analog audio interconnects is astonishing.
