yup.
if you're within 5 ft of your enemy in bf2, it comes down to two things. if either player has a nade launcher, the issue is quickly decided. if neither does, then it's an all out spray fest. this can take several forms, as in spraying while hopping, strafing and spraying, or even proning, sighting, and spraying. and don't kid yourself, just because you're in ironsights doesn't make it any less of a spray when you empty your magazine in one pull.
the only exceptions are the snipers and the pump shotguns. i've been dropped from five feet by a sniper with one shot. now that's an impressive kill. pump shotties can't spray by definition, but everyone has the DAO and jackhammer by now, it's rare to see someone using the pump shotties. and the DAO is the very embodiment of spraying.
what's funny to me, is how so many people think that it takes so much more 'skill' to spray than to use a GL at close quarters. bullshit, they're both easy as hell. if anything, spraying is easier, since you don't have to worry about killing yourself. with the changes to the nade launcher in the next patch, CQB will deteriorate even further into a contest of 'who can shoot more bullets first.'
but we don't play BF2 for its shitty infantry game, now do we? we play it to whore tanks and airplanes and spawn rape the other team.
