Okay, I got my new computer parts etc, installed fine. I have one 1GB stick of pc 3200 , and 1 stick of 512mb pc3200, both DDR400. Well, I install both and programs display the memory as DDR200, what is wrong??

They're not the same pair.

Indeed. They need to be the same pair, and they must run in pairs.

In CPU-Z, does it say Frequency: 200MHz? Because that's correct for PC3200 DDR, 200 x 2= 400MHz.

max bandwidth for both in CPUz says 200mhz, but in memory tab frequency says 100.5mhz , another question, if I took out the 512mb stick left the 1gb in, would I have more performance or? >_<

You'd at least be able to run the 1GB at it's rated speed.

Let me ask, how have you go the RAM installed, are they on the same channel? Meaning the same color RAM slots, or if not color coded then in adjacent slots? If so try putting them on different channels.
