I just wanted to bring up a fact which IMO is not very well known.  If a spec ops sacrifices his life as he plants C4 on a vehicle but dies before being able to detonate the pack, his squad members can go over and pick up his pack, switch to his detonator and detonate the explosives he placed. 

There have been so many times I wished my squad members knew this fact.  It would make my deaths seem so much more meaningful! 

I've never seen this done but I have done it myself.  Have you ever done this?

Ever done it?!!! I've been killed by it - by my own goddamn squadmate..

This guy just managed to toss C4 on my tank before being shot by the aforementioned teammate, threat over and I'm on my merry way... *BOOM* lala (Teamkills) Friluftshund

Now we'r both on Ventrilo so I start shouting WTF''s all over the place and he's like "wow... didn't know you could do that, I just had to try..." Man I was furious, for a couple of seconds that is

So yeah - pick the dead mans kit and blow some shit up!

well i have done that, i planted c4 on 2 APC's then i got killed by a third guy just before pressing the button, so when i respawned in that base, i rushed to my old kit and i detonated the c4 but besides the kills i got kill driver assits,so instead of getting 4 poins for the 2 kills i got 6 points,and  this happened not just once but like 5 times

Yes, I've done it a couple of times. Such occasions are rare though cos it is sometimes tricky to get to the dead man's kit - how else did he die before detonating? The answer is usually in a hail of enemy bullets, lol. I think I'm the only person on the servers I visit (along with my clan members if they're present) who actually does that sort of thing and I also pick up dead medic kits in order to revive them.

However, most of the time they're too stupid to realise that we can get back our original kits by finding another one and doing a quick switch. The good thing though is that most of the guys I revive are generally grateful for the fact that I didn't just run past their corpse and actually bothered to take time out (and at times risk my life too) to prevent them from having another death added to their score.

Uhm, but how do you get driver kill assists if you're detonating C4?
