I'm new to BF2 and BF2s but I've been playing alot to get my hours in and experience up. I specialize in the Sniper Class. I thought I'd take the plunge and give a successful tactic I've used for Kills & Kill Assist. You can check my time as a Sniper as well as my kills but probably the most important is the Kill Assists stat for what I'm writting about.
I'm not the best sniper and make no claims but I do well in capturing flags solo and dropping the enemy from great distances. I like shooting at the enemy while they are having a fire fight with my other team mates because if they were hit at all during this time one bullet from me will kill them no matter what body part I hit and if not then it will at least take them down to two bars of health which means the next bullet from any team mate finishes them off. You can check my Kill Assists stat. I may not be the best in the hours I've put in but again it's not too bad.
You can get alot of Kills and Kill Assists aiding your group in a heavy fire fight at a Flag point since these are where we mostly have the big encounters...the enemy doesn't have time to figure out where that sniper shot that reduced their health to two came from as your other team mates are within 10 feet and trying to shoot them. If you shoot someone who's by himself his new agenda is finding you. If you shoot someone in a shoot out then he has a choice of running and praying not to get shot in the back or dieing in a few seconds from your second shot or a team mates bullet from close range.
Maybe you know this already or maybe this helps out fellow sharp shooters. Either way I'd appreciate Karma points for trying to help out. I'm new to BF2s and would like the support.
